Reading Genres 8/30 (Emails, Text Messages, and Magazines)

When reading school and non-school related genres there is a difference because sometimes one can be informal while the other is formal. For example, reading emails, text messages, and magazines can all be read differently. A person wouldn't read an email from their professor as they would read a text message from a friends. An email from a professor would be more professional and important. When friends usually text one another they use slang words like 'l.o.l' and they often shorten words like that to 'tht'. Also, emails tend to be more grammatically correct. When reading an magazine, I find myself being more relaxed because the magazine usually has something that interested me. I think that there is always i different type of mood when your doing different things. Sometimes one might not want to email their professor but have to.
