Getting The Writing Written and Letting Go.

After reading this article I found that me and the writer do the same thing when it comes to reusing words. I'm going to try to not do this in my paper because if I spend to much time on trying to replace a word I will not get to far with my paper. The author says in the article "But, being the procrastinator I am, I have continually delayed this writing, and I don’t have time to continue wondering if there is a suitable noun that could
replace “table.” I want to try to turn this writing into “written.” I want to try to get this job done." Also, what I learned from this article that relates to me is how I'm so good at writing thoughts out in my head, but when its time to put them on paper they do not come out the same.

Living Sources Interviews and Surveys

After reading I learned that you do not need an expert for your paper. Also I learned that when contacting someone personal interviews are preferable. Personal interviews are preferable because as the author said its more natural and you're able to see your surroundings and get more of an inner feeling. Making appointments that are good for particapants is a very good idea.! The key concept is to start early, you never know what may happen.

Blog Reflections

After writing my first Lit. Review I found that i did not do it right, but now I now how to do it. I also learned that it is important to elaborate on your quotes. A research paper needs a Lit. Review section to let readers see others' view points on the topic being discussed and also to show readers the sources that the writer used and the new data the writer found out.In a Lit. Review it's possible for many sources to talk about the same thing. Although a Lit. Review section in a research paper is hard to do, it is a good idea. The research I found fits in with my current knowledge alot, but Im also founding out new things. When i first began this research I had already knew that there was controversy about abortions ,but i didnt know to what extent. When my research paper is finally done I hope to give readers a great insight on others feelings about abortions.

Nov 3 In Class

"But the main problem with quoting arises when writers assume that quotations speak for themselves", Graff (pg 43)  says in the text. I agree with what he is saying because not everyone undertstands one quote the same. Monstsios is telling writers that when you use quotes from others talk about what the quotes means to you and how it ties in to your arguement. Writers sometimes put in quotes that have nothing to do with their topic, while others put too many. A writer can either day too much or too little and to make sure this doesnt happen add just enough quotes and your own words following.
